Join us for our first inaugural science policy career panel on April 24th! The panel will be from 3:30-5pm in MEB 3110. A networking reception will follow from 5-6pm in the first floor lobby. The panelists are
Robbie Barbero, Ph.D. – Former Assistant Director for Biological Innovation at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy under the Obama administration. Current Chief Business Officer at Ceres Nanosciences, Inc. AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow. Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from MIT.
Joel Baumgart, Ph.D. – Program Manager of Research Development in the Office of VP for Research at UVa. Fulbright, AAAS, and Mirzayan fellow alumni. Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UVa.
Chris Sasiela, Ph.D. – Regulatory Specialist at National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Maryland.
Garrick Louis, Ph.D. – Associate Professor in Systems and Information Engineering at UVa. AAAS Policy Fellow alumni at the Environmental Protection Agency. Jefferson Fellow at the State Department. Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon.
